Our Image, Our Likeness! So Proud & Profound!
D'IMAG'E Couture was the first signature brand developed under the D.M.I.G. Catalogue fashion house and is considered our heritage collection. It evolved as an extension of DMIG's intent on creating a clothing line that could evoke pride, dignity, and unity among people of the African diaspora but also maintain the manufacturing quality, and attention to detailed designing that has been associated with European fashion houses and high end designer lines. The name D'IMAG'E was derived from the pronunciation of D.M.I.G., but also a play on the words 'The Image', as in, "Let us make Man in 'Our Image, Our Likeness!'". Thus, D'IMAG'E Couture was birthed initially as a men's apparel line, but has grown to include products for both women and children, under D'IMAG'E Femme & D'IMAG'E Legacy, respectively. The overall brand is built on the overstanding and acknowledgement that black people indeed were from the first civilizations and direct descendants of the ancient ancestors, prophetic elders, heavenly hosts and Most High in all the spiritual doctrines of the world, specifically the Bible, Koran and Torah. This knowledge of self and collective acknowledgement of all religious faiths as they relate to the origins and spirituality of black people worldwide is reflected in D'IMAG'E's deliberate messaging thru its vibrant designs, thought provoking artwork and constant symbolism to the proud true history of black civilizations from around the globe.
